This album was produced during a blog review of the Bernard Herrmann Composer Toolkit for Kontakt by Spitfire Audio.
It's a massive 225Gb collection of studio orchestra instruments, often in unusual combinations inspired by the work of Bernard Herrmann.
I've used the instruments in various arrangements with field recordings and glitchy sounds / loops created in Sensomusic Usine Hollyhock 3. I've processed them with a number of effects including Outer Space and Fog Convolver by AudioThing; Incipit by Inear Display; Convex and Fracture XT by Glitchmachines and Spaceship Delay by Musical Entropy.
The idea for the album are those fleeting moments or the period before you fall asleep or wake up when your attention drifts and you get a diffferent perspective on reality.
Those things you see out of the corner of your eye, unusual sounds and patterns when falling asleep, daydream states and a desire to experience them more rather than the mundane of everyday life.
The songs were arranged, recorded and mastered in MuLab 7 by Andrulian
