This started as a demo track for a review of the 4ms PEG add-on for Softube Modular which you can read here: wp.me/p2ZLkE-378

I created a setup using 4ms PEG with the Buchla 259e add-on and recorded 'origin' with no external effects to demonstrate the type of sound it can produce.

I then used a minimalist approach using this as the only sound source adding 4 send/return effects and Type A (AudioThing) as a pre-mix and experimented with settings and effects to see if I could create a full sound and variety of sounds.

The Buchla 259e can produce amazing sounds, the 4ms PEG is an envelope generator that can do subtle or crazy things, Eventide effects sound superb and I have some other favourites too. Together they encouraged an addictive, iterative process of change and experimentation to produce this album containing a whole range of sounds covering drones, ambiences, rhythmic glitches, harsh metallic sounds to more extreme experimentation.

'intro' uses Amalgame, RP Verb 2, Ultratap and SpecOps as send/return effects, other tracks use combinations of Eventide effects - Ultratap, Fission, Blackhole, H3000, H949, Quadravox, Octavox.

The last four tracks also use the UDrone sampler with SpecOps and Blackhole.

The album was recorded as live one-take recordings in Sensomusic Usine Hollyhock 3 and all songs were mastered in MuLab using Elevate and Stage.
