This EP was produced during a blog review of Teufelsberg Reverb by Balance Mastering which you can read here: wp.me/p2ZLkE-2yI.
Teufelsberg was a listening station in Berlin, Germany used during the Cold War which was abandoned after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Balance Masteriing recorded impulse responses in 2015 and have now produced a VST containing these impulse responses.
This EP considers the history of the facility, the nature of activities carried out and the mood of that era.
The tracks use Ephemere (Inear Display) with Outer Space (Audio Thing); Four sounds from my 'Kalipheno' sample pack in the Hollyhock II grain sampler each processed with Incipit (Inear Display) and Teufelsberg Reverb and two of the tracks also feature drum and piano loops from Terry Grant Dark Dub Odyssey sample pack by Loopmasters.
All songs arranged and recorded in Sensomusic Usine Hollyhock II and mastered in MuLab 7 with Neutron (iZotope) by Andrulian.
